This is a French-language children's book adaptation of Pushkin's famous fairy tale The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish (Le Conte du pêcheur et du petit poisson), first written in 1833 and published in 1835. The story concerns a poor fisherman who catches a magical golden fish that grants wishes, only to see his wife's greed grow without limit.
